Website Redesign + Foundational Local SEO for an 8-Year Ohio Home Service Business

We recently took over marketing for a home service business in Ohio that had been in operation for 8 years but had almost no real online foundation in place. No claimed Google Business Profile, no consistent NAP across the web, no Search Console, no Analytics, no Bing presence. Established, reputable business, essentially invisible online.

What we did

• Redesigned the website. Replaced the old site with a faster, cleaner build focused on getting visitors to actually call or reach out.
• Claimed and set up their Google Business Profile. An 8-year-old business with no claimed profile means Google (and every customer searching there) had zero verified information to work with. We claimed it, verified it, and built it out properly.
• Created consistent NAP and citations. Standardized their name, address, and phone number and made sure it matched across directories and listing sites, instead of scattered or inconsistent info hurting their visibility.
• Set up Google Search Console. Gives visibility into how the site is actually performing in search, what’s ranking, and what needs attention.
• Set up Google Analytics. No prior tracking meant no way to know what was working. Now every visitor, source, and action on the site is measurable.
• Added Bing Webmaster Tools. Another platform they had never touched, opening up an entirely separate stream of search visibility.
• Basic on-page and off-page SEO. Cleaned up on-site structure and content, plus started building outside signals (citations, listings, backlinks) that support rankings.

The results (last 7 days vs. previous period)

Note: this business had no prior tracking in place, so there’s no historical baseline to compare against. These numbers reflect week-over-week growth since Analytics was installed as part of this project, showing consistent upward movement in the weeks immediately following the rebuild.

Why this matters

For a business this established, the issue was never reputation or quality of work — it was that none of the digital infrastructure existed to capture the demand that was already out there. Just getting the basics in place (claimed profile, consistent citations, and real tracking) is already showing up in the numbers within the first stretch of work.
